Water is driving Africans out of their homes

At least three citizens of the small state of Burundi in Central Africa were killed in flash floods, while several dozen were injured.
Bujumbura Mairie and Bubanza Provinces were hit the worst.
Northwest Burundi was hit by large-scale floods caused by heavy rains between January 19 and 27.
The authorities announced grim figures: about 2,700 people were injured and around 1,000 residents were evacuated. The water destroyed and damaged 179 and 400 residential buildings, respectively.
Casualties were recorded in Bujumbura Mairie’s commune of Ntahangwa.
Over the past month, massive floods and landslides caused by them have affected many places around the world, including Africa and South America.
