25 people killed in earthquake in Albania

According to the latest data, 25 people were killed and more than 600 injured as a result of an earthquake and aftershocks that hit Albania, the Associated Press reports.
The 6.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded overnight into Tuesday near Tirana at a depth of 10 kilometers. The quakes destroyed buildings and buried people under the rubble. The number of missing persons is high. Most of the victims died as a result of the collapse of houses and social facilities. Two people died in a balcony collapse. Rescue operations continue. Some people were pulled out of the rubble alive, all of them were taken to hospital and received medical care.
The Albanian government promised to provide assistance to the families of the victims. Many world leaders offered their help to Albanians after the earthquake.
