In an interview with the Moskva
agency, the chief nutritionist at the Moscow Department of Health, Antonina Starodubova, explained what berries are healthiest to eat in summer. The expert listed cherry, blueberry and watermelon, as they are rich in vitamins and antioxidants.

Blueberries contain pectic substances that improve lipid metabolism and digestion. Cherries are unlikely to cause allergies and are beneficial to the cardiovascular system. Watermelon contains vitamins A, B, C, and folic acid. Antonina Starodubova added that despite watermelon’s high water content (about 90%), it also has lots of sugars (up to 5.8 grams per 100 grams), so you should avoid eating too much watermelon.
