You can see ‘real feel temperature’ among other parameters in a weather forecast. We’ve been asked a lot about how this temperature is determined. And today we will tell you about it!
Effective temperature is the temperature felt by people dressed for the weather, taking into account wind and humidity. ‘Real feel temperature’ depends on a number of factors, including wind, humidity and direct solar heating.
In different temperature ranges, the perception of temperature is affected by different factors. In cold weather (+10 and below), there is a cooling effect of the wind. In warmer weather (+14 and above), the perception is determined by a warming effect of stuffiness rather than a cooling effect of the wind. In the transitional range (from +10 to +14), there is no stuffiness yet, and the influence of the wind is not that great.
