Murmansk having better weather than Sochi

The Russian North has been enjoying very warm weather this week. The mercury rose to +20°C in Murmansk, with new heat records set on May 15 and 16. Arkhangelsk and Syktyvkar also experienced summer-like weather.

However, over the past 24 hours, a cold front has interrupted a series of warm days. On May 18, it snowed in Murmansk.

Another heat wave will cover the Russian North over the weekend. Murmansk will have the same temperature as Sochi (+20°C). The only difference is that Sochi will be hit by rain, while Murmansk will enjoy the sunshine almost around the clock.
