Weather in St. Petersburg: winter seems to be over

The Russian winter was short-lived. Nothing reminds us of it in St. Petersburg, except the ice on the Neva River. The snow cover has completely disappeared. Temperatures are almost record high once again.
In addition to heat, a cyclone from the Atlantic has brought strong winds and very low atmospheric pressure. On Monday and Tuesday, winds gusted to 14 m/s, and the atmospheric pressure dropped to 728 mmHg.
The weather will stabilize in the second half of the week. Winds will weaken, and precipitation will stop. The atmospheric pressure will back to normal. Temperatures will be above freezing.
The Russian winter is not expected to return until the end of February.
