The weather in most parts of Japan has been abnormally warm for the beginning of December. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, temperature records have been updated at more than 270 out of 927 observation stations.
For example, abnormally warm winter temperature (about +25) was last observed in Wakayama 140 years ago. A temperature of +27 was recorded in Oita Prefecture and of over +26 in Fukuoka and Nara Prefectures. The temperature in Tokyo increased to +22, while the usual value for this time of year is about +10.
The Japanese say that the weather these days looks more like spring.
