A storm warning has been issued for the Sea of Okhotsk. Waves up to 9 meters high are expected off the coast of Kamchatka.

According to the Kamchatka Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, the storm may begin on December 6 in the second half of the night. The storm will hit coastal areas of the Sobolevsky and Ust-Bolsheretsky districts. Waves up to 8-9 meters high may remain until the middle of the day on December 6.
Rescuers asked ship owners in these areas to take precautions. Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations announced the approach of the cyclone to Kamchatka, which may bring heavy snow, blizzards and winds to the Ust-Bolsheretsky, Elizovsky and Milkovsky districts, as well as to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The cyclone will also affect the south of Kamchatka until December 6. Rough weather will peak on the evening of December 5.
